• This section features an unseen Russian passage with 4-5 questions requiring answers in Russian. It assesses students’ ability to understand and interpret texts.

2. Section B: Composition and Writing (15 Marks)

• Students must write an essay of approximately 100-150 words on one of the following topics:

• My favorite sport

• Why I learn the Russian language

• An excursion to any place

• Moscow

• My favorite book

• My favorite festival

• My favorite subject

3. Section C: Applied Grammar (40 Marks)

• This section emphasizes practical grammar applications, including:

• Application of cases as used in the prescribed texts (with or without prepositions)

• Use of adjectives in all cases

• Utilization of “kotory” in different cases

• Aspects of verbs, including applications of past and future tenses

• Translation tasks from Russian into English and vice versa

4. Section D: Literature (15 Marks)

• Students will answer 5 questions based on specific texts from the prescribed textbook. The relevant text numbers are 2, 6, 8, 11, 15, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, and 29.

Internal Assessment (20 Marks)

A. Listening and Speaking Skills in Russian (10 Marks)

• Students will practice interpreting small texts/sentences from Russian to English and vice versa. Their speaking and listening skills will be evaluated at the end of the academic year.

B. Project Work (5 Marks)

• A small project related to Russian culture and civilization, which may include cinema, climate, sports, or traditional songs and poetry.

C. Reflection on Learning (5 Marks)

• Students will write about their experiences learning the Russian language in Class IX and suggest innovations they would like to see in the Class XII program.
